This past year has been quite turbulent, to say the least. While beauty categories had strong growth during the earlier stages of lockdown, consumer interest became a bit more fickle later in the year.

 

Unfortunately, this December experienced lower search volume for hair, makeup, and skincare than the year before. Fragrance is the only category to see increased consumer interest compared to 2019.
